AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
