Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream
After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.
The Main Attraction
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map created using the CC3+ software platform.
Bundle Tiers
Entry Level
The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Mid-Range Option
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.
Complete Collection
For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
- Fractal Terrains 3+

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
