Devoted supporters of the pop star are calling for that a person who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another message on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for best costume and set decoration.
