Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
